Summer starts...when exactly?

While everyone else in the country is either enjoying lovely summer weather or suffering through blistering heat, we Southern Californians are going through a late "June Gloom" with a side of earthquake! Yesterday it was in the 60s most of the day with the sun only breaking through after about 2 o'clock.

Then just before 5 o'clock we had a bit of a rattle. We live about 130 miles away from the 5.4 that hit yesterday and it shook my desk and the hanging lights in my office. For us it was more of a roll than a shake.

But back to the weather. As everyone in my blogroll has been posting their lovely summer outfits, I'm sitting here in jeans and a cashmere sweater.
