Went to my J Crew b&m today - extra 30% off sale! Not too shabby. Lots of goodies to be had although the other J Crew I go to usually has a better sales section.
Snagged the Paper Poplin Perfect Shirt in Bronzed Avocado (Orchid Shadow was available but sold out in my size) - only $13.99 after extra discount! And I couldn't resist the Ink Blossom Pencil Skirt for $47.99.
I tried on the Fleuruette Shorts (priced at $34.99) and Camisole ($39.99). The shorts were just a little snug, and the top emphasized my small chest a little too much. The Fleurette Bustier dress was on the sale rack too at $69.99! Not in my size. Too bad, I really like this print.
I also tried on the Knotted Starfish Dress ($69.99) and while it is super cute, and the fabric is gorgeous, it fit sort of funny on me. My waist is lower than J Crew designs for, so the waist of their dresses end up around the middle of my ribcage leaving the rear darts to stick out about 4 inches above where they should be! Sad face.
But I'm happy with what I did take home. I also got a fab pair of white linen pants from the GAP and studded leather heels from Nine West (see side bar).
Let's hope I can put the kibash on the shopping for the rest of the weekend.
Quick question - why does J Crew have this in the dressing room? Is it a joke?
