Rainy Day Essentials

Yes, believe it or not, it is raining in Los Angeles. I pushed aside the pretty easy-breezy Spring dresses to dig out my rain boots this morning. Here in L.A. our street floods every time it rains and walking to the car in the morning can be tragic. Never underestimate the power of a good pair of rain boots! Here is my list of rainy day essentials, what's on your list?

You gotta love a classic stick-style unbrella in a bright color. It's cheerful and large enough that it will cover you and whatever you may be toting along. This green model is only $13, so get one in another color too.

This compact rainbow dot umbrella is perfect for leaving in your car or a desk at work. Nothing can spoil your day like getting caught in the rain...especially when you don't have any hair product with you!

The classic Hunter rain boot in black, brown, red, or navy is a great staple that compliments a lot of different looks. I'm wearing mine today with skinny jeans but they look cute with a dress or skirt too. These are worth the price, they are made well and have a lifetime guarantee.

These whale-print boots at Target have a great price point. Buy a few different patterns if you live somewhere that sees a lot of rain!

This Cole Haan rain jacket has classic looks that will never go out of style. The best thing is that it is tailored at the waist.

And if you're looking for a splash of color to brighten up a gloomy day, this Elie Tahari jacket in coral is a great choice!

Here's my perfect rainy day outfit, how do you style rainy days?
